Fourknocks, Co Meath, Ireland, is a 5,000 year old Megalithic Passage Tomb located about 15km south east of Newgrange. It contains magnificent examples of neolithic rock art including the “Cloch An Aghaidh”, or face stone which is believed to be the first representation of a human face found in prehistoric art in Ireland.
Many of these types of ancient monuments have been found to resonate at certain frequencies. Investigations into archaeoacoustics at such sites have revealed an association between areas which produce a strong resonance and the location of this type of rock art. This finding demonstrates that the properties of sound were being explored and recorded thousands of years ago.
Certain sound frequencies and their use in healing and deep meditation is something that is being rediscovered in our modern age as we use these frequencies to align our physical, spiritual and mental bodies for optimal health and well being.
